Location
Eight miles north of Ullapool you see the signpost for Achiltibuie. Continue through 16
miles of beautiful scenery, past Stac Polly and Loch Oskaig and on to the coast. Drive
through the village of Achiltibuie until you reach the Badenscallie township signpost. The
chalet is just beyond this and for Willie's House you follow the signpost to the burial
ground a quarter of a mile further on.

Area
The area is a Scottish Wildlife Trust Reserve, a paradise for hill walkers and nature
lovers and an ideal base from which to explore the lochs, moor lands, cliffs and beaches
of this inviting and fascinating part of Scotland.
Brown trout fishing and sea angling are available locally and daily cruises visit the
Summer Isles for bird and seal watching. There are several safe sandy beaches nearby and
many interesting cliff walks and rock pools along the seashore to fascinate all ages.
Achiltibuie is a thriving community with a rich and fascinating history. Regular music
and arts events are held throughout the year.

There are two well-stocked grocery shops, post office, craft shops and a smokehouse in
the village. You can also sample fresh local produce at the Hydroponicum Lily Pond Cafe,
